Lead Product Manager

The Lead Product Manager will design applications and process improvements in collaboration with business users. Additionally, this person will ensure business users understand the technical capabilities available within Fortegra. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in technical field. 6+ years of software or digital product experience. Strong understanding of software development life cycle. Ability to work with technical teams. Identify opportunities for new applications or process automation projects. Manage project timing and budget. Manage user training and adoption. Primary Job Functions: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap for user-facing web applications and data solutions. Conduct interviews, workshops, and analyses to gather business requirements, user needs, and technical constraints. Translate business requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that support intuitive and impactful product features. Serve as the main point of contact between the business and technical teams, clarifying requirements, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment. Work closely with data architects and engineers to define data models, process flows, and integration requirements. Create detailed functional specifications, process diagrams, and system documentation; communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Develop project plans, schedules, and milestones; manage resources and task assignments to ensure timely delivery. Proactively identify project risks, issues, and constraints; develop mitigation strategies and escalate when necessary. Provide regular updates on project status, deliverables, and key milestones to sponsors, stakeholders, and senior management. Coordinate efforts between business users, UX designers, engineering teams, QA, and DevOps to ensure smooth delivery. Oversee testing efforts to ensure the final product meets acceptance criteria; facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to gather feedback and sign-offs. Gather feedback and analyze metrics post-release to refine processes and enhance product features.
