GIS Developer (Wage Offer: $120,000/yr): Customize and manage several large Geographic Information Systems (GIS) project portals hosted on ENGEOs Enterprise system. Design and build web applications to improve team and company production. Support internal and external clients by preparing GIS deliverables and utilizing spatial analysis to drive meaningful insights to solve geospatial problems. Prepare professional quality maps, plan, deploy, and manage ArcGIS databases, web services, and applications. Use, run, develop, and maintain GIS systems and process geospatial data and prepare figures at the direction of technical staff for a broad range of projects and clients. Perform spatial analysis and digitize files into a digital format using ArcGIS. Use JavaScript, React, Typescript, and other web development tools to customize the GIS project portal for clients needs. Identify, assign, and align data based on various coordinate systems and map projections.
Up to 20% telecommuting permitted
REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or a related field. 2 years of experience as a GIS Analyst, GIS Developer, or a related occupation.
SKILLS: Must have:
1. Two (2) years of experience participating in software development and implementing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) Services industry.
2. Experience working with at least three of the following ESRI ArcGIS products: ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder, Developer Edition, StoryMap, WebApp Builder, Dashboard, or Field Maps.
3. Experience with at least three of the following: JavaScript, Java, R, React Vue SQL server, Typescript, Postgres SQL, mySQL, Python, Swift, PHP, HTML, CSS, bootstrap, or npm.
4. Experience with user interfaces and user experiences (UI/UX), human computer interaction (HCI), and project design using tools, including at least two of the following: Microsoft Power BI, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, Rhino, or Miro.
5. Experience with spatial data concepts, projection systems, data management, geodatabases, georeferencing, and digitization, including proficiency with geospatial data files (.shp, .gdb, KML, KMZ, or .dwg).
6. Experience with Python using the arcpy, geopandas, numpy, and scikitlearn packages, virtual environments via Anaconda, and ArcGIS python API.
7. Experience with version control using git and Github and code editors including at least one of the following: VS Code, Atom, PyCharm, Xcode, or IntelliJ.
