Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Intern

At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture. **Summary** CHS is looking for a detail-oriented and curious **BI Developer Intern** to join our Analytics team for **Summer 2025** . You'll help design, develop, and support dashboards and data models that empower business users to make data-driven decisions. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with modern BI tools and learn best practices in data visualization, ETL, and data warehousing. Ideal candidates will live in the St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN metro area in order to work a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week in the corporate office, located in Inver Grove Heights, MN); may consider fully remote options for top talent. **Responsibilities** + Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or SAP Analytics Cloud + Assist in data modeling, cleansing, and transformation to support reporting needs + Write SQL queries to extract and analyze data from relational databases + Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data pipelines and business requirements + Support data quality efforts and identify inconsistencies or gaps in reporting + Present insights and findings to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner **Minimum Qualifications (required)** + Currently a Junior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field + Some experience with SQL and data visualization tools (classwork counts) + Understanding of basic data structures and analytics concepts + Curiosity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail + Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team **Additional Requirements** + Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) + Familiarity with Python, R, or other scripting languages + Interest in agriculture, energy, or supply chain industries CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
