GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for developing and communicating improvements to IT technologies and processes. Provides support to IT by
planning and communicating projects and processes to various functions and levels of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Actively participates in the development of IT processes; recommending process improvements.
Applies learned IT skills to work assignments.
Applies problem solving skills and executes solutions to difficult problems independently.
Coaches IT tasks and skills to others.
Defines and completes IT tasks with minimal oversight of leadership.
Identifies opportunities for improvements to technologies and IT processes.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Presents work output in a clear and concise manner.
Provides proposal and planning of projects to leadership before output implementation.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Additional Essential Functions

Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Install and maintain network devices.
Contribute to the overall strategic network vision.
Assist in the planning, engineering, architecture, and the development of network standard used by HMI.
Monitor the network and resolve network problems.
Develop and maintain network documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant academic discipline preferred.
Minimum 3 years of professional IT & IS experience.

Skills and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of how current trends and technology may be used to support business partners.
Proficient understanding of how technology solves identified business problems.
Core understanding of assigned HMI functional areas.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Additional Skills and Abilities
Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Certification.
Detail knowledge of Ethernet, wide area networking, routing, TCP/IP, voice and wireless communications.
TCP/IP network experience in large scale environments (over 500 nodes).
Experience with Cisco (preferred) related hardware/products (switches, routers).
Working experience with wireless (802.11x) communications (Cisco experience preferred).
Experience performing wireless (802.11) site surveys, planning and monitoring in a variety of work situations.
Experience with network management software and network tuning tools, i.e., Wireshark.
Required to work unconventional hours (non-Monday through Friday 8am-5pm) and to participate in on-call rotation.
Ability to travel up to 10% of time or as needed to achieve business objectives.
