MLOps Platform Engineer

CGI is looking for MLOps Platform Engineer will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Hopsworks Feature Store to support scalable and efficient machine learning (ML) operations. This role requires expertise in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering to ensure seamless integration between ML models and feature pipelines.

The candidate will work closely with data scientists, MLOps engineers, and DevOps teams to optimize feature store performance, security, and availability.

This position is located in Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH, or Dallas TX, however hybrid model is accepted.

Deploy, configure, and maintain Hopsworks Feature Store on cloud/on-prem environments.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure to support ML workloads.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and scaling using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
Optimize data ingestion and feature retrieval pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
Ensure data security, governance, and compliance by implementing access control and encryption.
Monitor and troubleshoot feature store performance, resolving bottlenecks and failures.
Collaborate with MLOps, Data Engineering, and DevOps teams to integrate Hopsworks into CI/CD pipelines.
Implement observability and logging solutions for proactive monitoring and debugging

Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
Hands-on experience with Hopsworks Feature Store deployment and configuration.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible) for automated provisioning.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) for ML model deployment.
Solid understanding of distributed computing, big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.).
Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Bash for scripting and automation.
Experience with feature engineering and ML model serving in production.
Knowledge of feature drift monitoring, data validation, and model observability tools.
Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn).
Relevant cloud or MLOps certifications (AWS Certified Machine Learning, GCP ML Engineer, etc.).
Exposure to banking or fraud detection systems involving real-time ML processing.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is 88,200 - $195,200.
