Position: Sr. Test Engineer, Grange Insurance Company, Columbus OH.Duties: Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC) from requirements review to post verification. Review business requirements, data requirements and technical specification across Guidewire Policy Center and Billing Center to design the test cases. Determine testability of all the documents that are generated in the Open Text Extreme application. Design and validate the Document generation test cases using Stream diff tool. Evaluate proposed changes in complex Guidewire systems under test to determine requirement changes within the testing framework and existing regression suite, including the determination of effort, impact and risk. Create test scenarios using Gherkin. Determines test coverage and creates test scripts from simple to complex across both Policy Center and Billing Center. Plan and create required test data end-to-end from Policy system to Billing center to Open Text application for test execution purposes. Utilize tools like Jira for Test case and defect management. Executes smoke tests, functional tests, regression and system integration tests across different phases of the deliverables. Utilize Print stream comparison tool to do detailed comparisons of the documents generated from Policy Center and Billing center for different versions or types of documents to identify changes in text, formatting and tables. Involved in writing complex SQL queries to validate the DataHub application from End-to-End integration validations. Experienced in designing and documenting Rest/HTTP, SOAP APIs including JSON data formats and API versioning strategy. Ability to mock inbound/outbound calls, simulate payloads and create samples and create structured test suites in postman to automatically run the project. Involved in creating automated hybrid frameworks using TestNG, Cypress and Jenkins to run the regression suites. Involved in the performance testing initiatives across Guidewire applications utilizing tools such as JMeter and Neo load. Adhere to testing best practices and recommend continuous improvement processes across all the systems by collaborating with the peer group. Robust conversion testing plan and validations from legacy to Guidewire applications and downstream applications. Coordinate with offshore team on the testing initiatives and provides quality metrics to the Leads. Collaborates with the UAT partners and provides guidance to the team on the Guidewire Business functionalities. Participates in all phases of the project to execute different testing types. Work in partnership with Scrum masters, developers and business partners to develop, coordinate, communicate and enforce testing schedules and deliverables. Advise and consult with application developers on Test approaches and strategies to best exercise and test applications to meet Business needs. Telecommuting is permitted. Applicants may reside anywhere in the US.Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer information systems, information systems security, or related field, plus 48 months of experience with SDLC; 48 months of experience with Jira for Test case and defect Management; 48 months of experience with Guidewire systems across Policy Center and Billing Center; 24 months of Automation experience with TestNG, Cypress and Jenkins; 24 months of experience with SQL, Rest/HTTP/JSON API validations, and Datahub mapping/integrations testing; 24 months of experience with STREAMdiff; and 12 months of Guidewire performance testing experience with Neoload and JMeter.
