About the RoleThe VMS Intern will have the opportunity to learn and work directly with the VMS team and others in the IT department. This position will report directly to the manager of the VMS team. The VMS team manages the lifecycle of IT and software-related vendors, focusing on business objective alignment, cost reduction, and risk mitigation. This internship will help prepare the candidate for future work in vendor and user access management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist team with the administration of user access management
- Track and assist with vendor contract renewals
- Manage billing logistics
- Facilitate vendor communication
- Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college/university
- Degree focused in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
