The Systems Security Specialist oversees the administration, and deployment of the enterprise-level access control and video management systems. The Specialist ensures all systems meet the clients and industry security standards and recommends upgrades, replacements, and installments.

Responsibilities

• Represent Pinkertons core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
• Ensure all systems adhere to client standards and industry best practices.
• Manage the installation, upgrades, control access and overall functionality of security systems.
• Administer user access to security systems, ensuring proper permissions are set for all personnel.
• Maintain and assist with configuring servers, network devices, and storage solutions that support physical security systems.
• Liaise with third-party vendors for system installations, and review security system alerts, assist in troubleshooting, and escalate issues as needed.
• Use project management methods to track milestones and deliverables, ensuring proper communication with stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Collect and analyze data to prepare reports.
• Develop user instructions and maintain system technical information.
• Assist in selecting vendors and writing administrative procedures to support the operation of the security systems.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Associates degree in computer science, information technology, electronics engineering, information systems, computer systems administration and one year of physical security systems administration experience or three years of physical security systems administration experience. • Large scale data manipulation skills, preferred.
• Knowledge of access control and video surveillance systems
• Understanding of equipment hardware specs including RAID, redundancy, and operating systems.
• Able to appropriately engage with other vendors
• General understanding of floor plans and electrical diagrams.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Able to carry out multiple assignments with competing deadlines and priorities.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office.
